The Rebrand Institute of Tech Equity (RITE) and the Baltimore Metropolitan Women's Business Center have opened a Community Innovation Center at Morgan State University. It's a free place to use a laptop, get online, learn AI and digital skills, and build what you're working on.
The center is open to entrepreneurs, students, job seekers, families, and nonprofit leaders.

Everything you need to build.
15 laptops, ready to use
Each laptop is numbered, set up, and kept up to date by RITE. Use one to apply for jobs, build your business, finish schoolwork, or take a class.
Mobile hotspots
The center has its own dedicated mobile internet, so you can get online without relying on a home connection.
A self-service sign-out kiosk
You check a laptop out and back in yourself, in about a minute, with your free RITE membership card.
Community
A place to meet other builders, ask questions, and get support from people who believe technology should be open to everyone.

RITE and its partners run hands-on programming at the center, including:

Practical, beginner-friendly training on the tools changing how we work.
- Grow with Google Certification Program
Career certificates offered jointly by RITE and the Baltimore Metropolitan Women's Business Center.
- Digital hygiene and online safety
Protect your accounts, your data, and your business.
- Get Grant Ready University (GGRU)
Cohort-based training for nonprofit leaders on sharpening their mission and accessing funding.
How to use a laptop.
Using a laptop at the center is free. It takes two steps.
Get your free RITE membership
Sign up at kliqcard.com/join/ritebalt. Enter your name, email, and phone number, agree to the center's member policies, and save your digital membership card to your phone. It takes a few minutes.
Get your free membershipCheck a laptop out at the kiosk
- 1.At the kiosk, tap Equipment Sign Out.
- 2.Find the number on the laptop you want to use.
- 3.Scan your RITE membership card.
- 4.Tap your laptop's number.
- 5.Sign the consent form, and you're set.
When you're done, follow the same steps to check the laptop back in, then return it to the charging cart.

- Every visit goes through the kiosk
- Checking laptops in and out keeps them available for everyone and helps RITE show the impact the center has in Baltimore.
- Laptops stay at the center
- Devices are for use on site at Morgan State.
- Something not working?
- Let staff know so they can set the laptop aside and get it fixed.

About the partnership.
The Baltimore Metropolitan Women's Business Center is hosted at Morgan State University. It serves women and small business owners across Baltimore City and Baltimore, Howard, Frederick, Carroll, and Harford counties.
Through this partnership, RITE is the center's technology partner. RITE brings devices, connectivity, and AI and tech education to the entrepreneurs and communities the center already serves.
